• At the age of 10; she was awarded Gold Medal at the Thirumurai Recital Competition organized by Malaysia Hindu Sangam at national level.
•In 1995, she bagged another gold medal for Thivya Prabantham Competition at national level under the patronage of Tan Sri Somasundram.
